Ladies Day at ASI Ladies Scottish Open

23rd Jul. '19

What a summer it has been so far for celebrating women in sport. If Scotland doing us proud in the FIFA Women’s World Cup wasn’t enough, we can now look forward to cheering on some amazing female golfers at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open.

Taking place from 8th-11th August 2019 at the stunning Renaissance Club in North Berwick, the weekend is sure to be an exciting one. With some stellar Scottish players taking part, including local gal and Team Europe Solheim Cup captain Catriona Matthew, it’s a fantastic day out for the whole family, and a wonderful opportunity to introduce wee ones to the sport – Scotland is the home of golf, after all!

If a refreshing G&Tee is more your thing, fret not. Summon your gal pals, don those glad rags (or polo tops and visors!) and head along to the first ever Scottish Open Ladies Day on Saturday 10th August. Hop on the free shuttle bus from North Berwick train station for a stress-free journey, and be driven straight to the course, where you’ll be met with drinks on arrival.

Not only will you and your girlfriends be able to watch the golf together, you’ll also have the chance to practice your swing in a free golf clinic hosted by European Tour coach himself, Gary Nicol – fore!

When all that golfing gets too much, you’ll have the chance to totally unwind with complimentary neck and shoulder massages from the spa team at the Marine Macdonald Hotel, as well as cocktail making masterclasses supported by Loch Lomond Distillery – cheers to that!

All this alongside a special guest Q&A session hosted by TV personality, Emma Dodds and live music from Westlife’s own Brian McFadden; you don’t have to ask us twice!

Check out that scenery!

Golf is a brilliant way to get out in the fresh air, take in some stunning Scottish landscapes and find a new hobby. Speaking about the initiative, Martin Gilbert, Chairman of Aberdeen Standard Investments, said; “It’s important for us to bring in new fans to golf and we hope that Ladies Day offers women, who might not have previous golfing experience, the opportunity to visit The Renaissance Club and have a fantastic day out.”

So what do you say, ladies? Let’s get golfing – see you on the course!
